Cider Barn
This converted old Cider Barn sits adjacent to The Mill and close to
the orchard and garden. Once used to house the apple press for making cider,
the Cider Barn was connected to the Mill via a leather belt, driven
by the waterwheel, which was used to prepare the apples for the press
used in the cider making process.
Now lovingly restored, this unique building is a comfortable place to
stay with country cottage style kitchen, woodburner in the lounge and with
original wooden beams throughout.

Logburner with logs (provided from October to April) with oil central heating throughout the cottage.
Master Bedroom
Double bed and fitted wardrobes. Flagstone floor.
Twin Bedroom
Twin room with two single beds, travel cot, wardrobe and flagstone floor.
Bathroom
Fully tiled, modern, fresh and clean bathroom with luxury shower, bath, vanity unit, heated towel rail and vaulted pine ceiling.
Kitchen and Dining Area
Situated on the upper, first floor, open plan kitchen/dining/living room with original vaulted beamed ceiling and oak flooring. Fully equipped kitchen with new appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, ice-box fridge, touch control electric hob and fan assisted double oven. Staircase leading down to ground floor bedrooms.
Other Information
Iron, ironing board, high chair, and vacuum cleaner are available at the Cider Barn.
Bedroom linen, hand/bath and tea towels all provided but please bring your own beach/swimming towels and cot linen.
Pets
We accept up to 2 well behaved dogs in Cider Barn.
Outside
The entrance to the Cider Barn overlooks the working waterwheel. There is a fenced gravelled area with seating and BBQ adjacent to the rear of the barn which then leads through the apple trees and into the main garden with Millpond and leat to to the rear of the property. Children must be supervised in the orchard as there are culverts, streams and a deep pond. Access to Cider Barn is via metal steps leading to the upstairs entrance.

There is an attached carport/garage for one car with space for another car if required.

Notes on accommodation
The Cider Barn is child friendly and there is plenty of landscaped garden space to enjoy around the building.
Children must be supervised in the outside orchard.
The track leading from the road to Hembury Mill can be uneven in places so may not suit some vehicles with low chassis.

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than 8 weeks from its commencement, the full charge is payable at the time of the booking.
We accept both debit and credit card payments via our secure third party booking system, ‘Freetobook’. We make no additional charges for credit/debit card payments.
Alternatively, we can take bookings over the phone or you email us if you prefer to pay by cheque or bank transfer. Unfortunately, we cannot take debit or credit card payments over the phone.
